The Department of Computing is seeking a Clinical Instructor to serve as the Department's Director of Using Information Technology. This faculty member will manage the Department’s CSCI 1100 Using Information Technology course which is taken by over 2,000 ETSU students each year.
CSCI 1100 is a foundational computer skills course where students learn Microsoft Office software tools and other computing resources commonly used by students and professionals. The Director will manage the curriculum and assessment processes for the course, leading a team of approximately 18 graduate students who teach the course sections to undergraduate students.
The Director will manage, instruct, and mentor the teaching assistants and other support personnel to be effective course instructors. The Director will typically teach at least one section themselves each semester so as to benefit from firsthand experience delivering the course material.
