The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Medicine, West TN Family Practice, is recruiting applicants for a full-time, non-tenure, Instructor position. We are seeking individuals who are eager to provide obstetric care for an underserved population and develop proficiency in surgical obstetrics and office-based gynecology procedures. Our unique faculty consists of Obstetrician Gynecologists and FM/OB faculty with advanced obstetrical training, and multiple private physicians that assist with surgical training. Our program is the only university-affiliated program in Memphis that provides full use of its interdepartmental resources and creates opportunities for teaching and faculty development.
The successful candidate will have the wonderful opportunity to work with a dynamic faculty, practice the full spectrum of family medicine to include obstetrics (if desired), and help train a great group of medical students, residents, and fellows. Duties include teaching, patient care, administration, community service, and research/scholarly activities.
Qualified applicants should hold the MD/DO degree and have a strong desire to teach.
Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
