To perform the day-to-day operations of the instructional programs.
Essential Duties :
Teaches courses as scheduled based on the needs of the psychology department.
Maintains office hours as set by the college. Prepares course information sheets that include stated objectives for each course.
Keeps current on developments regarding instructional methodology.
Assists in making recommendations to the Department Head, Assistant Dean, and/or Dean regarding curriculum additions, deletions, or revisions.
Provides a grade evaluation on each student’s performance in a fashion and frequency required by the college.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Possess a driver's license to facilitate travel to different campuses if necessary.
We have opportunities to teach Face to Face, dual credit, and Distance Education classes. This posting is primarily for teaching Face to Face or online (synchronous) courses on the Bryan and Brenham campuses.
College teaching experience desirable.
Experience in working in online educational environments preferred.
Prior experience in teaching Introductory Psychology, Lifespan Growth Development, and/or Social Psychology preferred.
Coursework and/or Professional experience relevant to general and developmental psychology preferred.
Certified in QM online teaching and course development is preferred.
