The Coordinator of Dual Enrollment is a member of the college-wide team charged with providing leadership in the planning, development, implementation, management, supervision, and evaluation of the Tidewater Community College dual enrollment program. To that end, the Coordinator is responsible for providing overall leadership, supervision, coordination and management of a highly effective successful dual enrollment program for all school districts. Working with the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, dual enrollment managers, academic deans, school district leadership, and other staff, the Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and leading a college-wide model for dual enrollment to foster student learning and success.
Works collaboratively with the VCCS, academic affairs, student affairs, faculty, and local school division administrators to prepare and maintain dual enrollment contracts.
Provides leadership in planning, developing, implementing, managing, supervising, and evaluating dual enrollment with the local school divisions, Academic Affairs and the Office for Institutional Effectiveness.
Works in consultation with the vice presidents for academic affairs, academic deans, faculty and school division leadership to plan, identify, and offer the most appropriate dual enrollment courses and program.
.Works in collaboration with the vice presidents for academic affairs and student affairs to ensure accurate information is communicated regarding the collegeâ™s academic and workforce programs.
Establishes and maintains communication channels with school division administrators to promote and enhance dual enrollment/dual credit.
Works collaboratively with campus dual enrollment managers and academic deans to schedule dual enrollment courses.
Initiates, develops and manages scholarships for dual enrollment in consultation with the Educational Foundation.
Provides annual reports to grant and scholarship representatives to ensure continued funding.
Tracks and ensures compliance with VCCS Dual Enrollment Standards and SACSCOC Principles/Standards, and reports areas of non-compliance to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Approves all drop and withdrawal requests as needed for dual enrollment students.
Collaborates with dual enrollment managers, Academic Affairs, and others to ensure for consistency in processes, procedures, special events, orientations, etc.
Ensures for the timely procurement of classes and documents pertaining to departmental and budgetary operations, and works with Finance and the Office for Institutional Effectiveness as needed for accurate reporting, billing, etc.
Ensures the college's dual enrollment website and publications are current.
Leads, directs, supervises and evaluates dual enrollment managers.
Coordinates and refines dual enrollment policies, procedures, and processes to ensure for an effective and efficient dual enrollment program.
Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university, with a related field preferable.
Demonstrated knowledge of Tidewater Community College's vision, mission, goals, and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a highly effective working team; to effectively communicate and work with a wide range of internal and external partners and stakeholders; and to make effective oral and written presentations.
Two or more years of successful experience in implementing a dual enrollment program within higher education.
Demonstrated experience in working with K-12 school personnel and students.
Familiarity with and experience in implementing policy and procedure.
Demonstrated ability to make effective oral and written presentations.
Demonstrated knowledge of students services for dual enrollment to include admission and placement, enrollment, and advising.
