Job Summary/Basic Function: The Office of Financial Aid is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Financial Aid, with a focus on day-to-day student counseling, assisting the loan processing team, as well as management of the Federal Work Study Program.
Knowledge of, and ability to remain current on all federal and state regulations, as well as institutional policies and procedures.
Serve as the Financial Aid Liaison to assigned academic departments and its students including the coordination, management, awarding and communication of scholarship and financial aid awards.
Communication with Enrollment Services colleagues in the Office of Admissions and Registrar as it pertains to prospective or current student issues.
Responsible for managing all aspects of the Federal Work Study Program for both on and off-campus positions, including the approval of biweekly timesheets, posting of all FWS job descriptions, verify student eligibility, monitor both student earnings and college-wide departmental budgets. Monthly reconciliation of Federal Work Study payroll.
Assist in the management of the Graduate Assistantship program.
Manage the Federal TEACH Grant program, including the processing and awarding of funds.
Counsel prospective and current students on the application process, financing options, aid decisions, and other Office of Financial Aid policies and procedures.
Responsible for the continued development, implementation, and presentation of Financial Aid Literacy programs for current and prospective students.
Manage and process OFA forms including the Repackaging, Federal Aid Change, Scholarship Redistribution, and Title IV Verification forms submitted by students.
Participate in campus events, as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred
3 years financial aid experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of Title IV regulations and understanding of Need Analysis
Must have excellent counseling, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Passion for working in a service-oriented environment as part of a cohesive team
A problem solver with the ability to think both creatively and analytically
Must know the Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Banner a plus
