The position involves defining the role of apolipoprotein (apo) E in neuropathology using human iPSC-derived. Protein changes(pathways) distinguishing apoE3 from apoE4-expressing neurons will be evaluated using CRISPR technology to knockdown or increase protein expression in iPSC-derived neurons.
Education/Skills Experience Required:
PhD or MD in cellular or molecular biology related field. Experience in one or more of the following areas are also desirable: iPSC cell culture, CRISPR genetic perturbation, neurobiology.
