This position designs, develops and manages University Operations' educational and developmental opportunities, as well as initiatives related to achieving the organizational vision and strategic plan of Inclusive Excellence. Identifies the instructional and developmental needs of the division staff and serves as the principal organizational resource person, maintaining awareness of current and emerging educational technologies and initiatives, and aligns organizational initiatives with the vision and strategic plan of Business and Finance. Responsible for the coordination and documentation of the division's educational and developmental opportunities. Responsible for library of training, operational, and archival information designed to support University Operations.
This position reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor of University Operations.
Determines and implements appropriate educational and developmental opportunities for each departmental unit and for individual staff members. Oversees all the organizational initiatives in support of achieving the division's vision and strategic plan.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience developing and counseling to support individual development plans. Must have experience working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Must have experience organizing and coordinating different types of training programs. Must have expertise in computer software applications. Background must demonstrate success in developing and managing people and budgets; in recruiting and hiring a quality workforce; and in collaborating with various business units within an organization. Must have knowledge and/or experience in fiscal reporting, budget projections, and monitoring expenditures within an established budget. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have demonstrated ability to successfully direct change and improvement work practices and standards of performance.
Master's degree in business administration or organizational development or the equivalent in training or experience preferred. Project management experience helpful. Team facilitation and group process experience preferred. Training and/or experience in quality improvement processes and techniques desirable. Certification related to training and development helpful. Certification related to customer service preferred. Experience in facilities or related operations unit of higher education institution helpful. CEFP (Certified Educational Facilities Professional) by APPA preferred.
