The Occupational Therapy Department within the College of Health and Human Services at the University of New Hampshire is seeking a Program Director for a new BS Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2023. The Program Director position is classified as a non-tenure track, clinical faculty position, and the Program Director will be responsible for teaching a minimum of two units of coursework each academic year, the development and oversight of the OTA program curriculum, and tasks associated with obtaining ACOTE accreditation. Program Director duties also include management and administration of the program, program evaluation, budgeting, personnel management including hiring of, support and supervision of faculty and staff, maintenance of accreditation, and other duties associated with the day to day operations of the program. The Program Director will join a dynamic Department of Occupational Therapy that has a long history of over 75 years of excellence preparing occupational therapy practitioners and leaders in the field. The Department currently offers a BS/MS Professional OT Program, an MS-only Professional Program, and a new OTD program is in the final phases of development. Qualified applicants must be licensed as an occupational therapy practitioner, and have a PhD or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field. In addition to be considered, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the postsecondary level. Priority candidates will have experience in leadership positions and teaching within OTA education programs. Finally, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, and issues related to occupational and social justice.
