Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist - Neurosciences

The Department of Neurosciences (https://medschool.ucsd.edu/som/neurosciences/pages/default.aspx) within the School of Medicine at University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist.
Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Project Scientist will function independently and the role may include 1) designing, managing and conducting experiments; 2) training students and others in the field of study; 3) leading and making innovative and significant contributions to the project(s); 4) participating and presenting at scientific meetings; and 4) writing scientific reports, manuscripts and grants for submission and/or publication.
Candidate must have a PhD or MD (or equivalent), with an emphasis relevant to the neurosciences, basic sciences or related disciplines.
Candidates with a track record of publications are preferred.
Appointment will be at Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist level based on background and experience.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
