Goucher College seeks to hire a Program Assistant to provide oversight for daily operations of the Office of Global Education and support operations of Career Education Office (CEO) and the Office of Community-based Learning (CBL).
The Program Assistant will:
Update and enter information into Power Campus regarding study abroad, student residency and scholarships awarded and manage data assessment for CBL and CEO.
Provide operational support to OGE including preparation of various reports including spreadsheet summaries for tracking applications, required forms and payments.
Prepare all payment requests for program providers and other office billing for semester and short-term programs abroad.
Review study abroad student transcripts and course approval forms, liase with registrar's office on credit transfer, and organize documents for the student's permanent record.
Collect data and statistics for surveys, for other departments and for academic centers and faculty. Assist with special events of the three offices.
Support CBL's SLCAs in the management of student applications/interest.
Support CEO Internship Learning Agreements/GIF Program Assign tasks and projects to student employees.
1-3 years of professional experience in an office setting
Experience creating reports in Excel and managing budgetary tasks such as processing payment requests and expense reports
Experience managing payment requests and budget reconciliation
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Previous experience with databases
Prior work experience in a college or university setting
Presentation skills and data visualization
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to prioritize work according to competing demands
