Manages the equipment room operations for varsity sports, including purchasing, inventory, distribution, maintenance and collection of all athletic equipment.
Assists with the ordering process for all athletic equipment within the proper time frames, in accordance with the university's purchasing procedures.
Prepares and administers the athletic equipment budgets for varsity sports.
May assist with the coordination of corporate contracts for apparel and equipment; and assists with the ordering process of apparel and/or equipment for development activities, campus, the gift shop and other special events.
Coordinates the receipt, storage, issuance of all athletic apparel, supplies and equipment in compliance with University and NCAA guidelines.
Keeps records of all apparel and equipment, performs custodial tasks, arrange storage space, package and deliver supplies.
Supervises departmental staff and student workers.
Travels to away football games and other away events as needed. Responsible for the transportation of all football game day equipment, and set-up and breakdown of the locker room and stadium sideline for competition.
Assists in the preparation for annual audit; implements changes recommended by auditors.
Performs other job related duties as required.
Bachelors and 1 year experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
