Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Pharmacology department at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey to study the role of mTOR kinase in metabolic regulation. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to establish an innovative, collaborative research program addressing important and fundamental questions. Interdisciplinary and translational approaches are encouraged. Qualified candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing training for Ph.D. with a strong publication record and looking to move to the next stage of their training.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Conducts multidisciplinary research in the area of the role of mTOR kinase in metabolic regulation, including animal experiments.
Prepares written reports of the research experiments.
Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted.
Gives oral presentations of the research.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Recent Ph.D. in Biomedical or Life Sciences.
Experience with cell culture, molecular, and cell biology techniques.
First authored publications in relevant high impact scientific journals.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Experience with mouse work.
