This position is responsible for reviewing, examining and posting student course transfer credit and course equivalency for prospective, admitted and matriculated undergraduate and graduate students at Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Job Description/Responsibilities and Duties:
• Process Military Credit, International Transcripts and CLEP score reports • Work with Admissions/Academic Units to determine course transfer equivalency as needed • Maintain transfer credit files and the retention of transfer credit files in accordance with the Registrar’s Office retention policy • Build transfer equivalences in the Banner system as needed • Process and maintain all undergraduate and graduate transfer pre-approvals for matriculated students • Create and maintain a transfer credit evaluation of each potential ‘new’ student as received from the Office of Admissions • Serve as a resource for new transfer students in all aspects of registration and transfer credit evaluations • Coordinate evaluation meetings with the academic units within each school to create and implement articulation procedures • Develop and maintain production calendar and communication plans for transfer student population • Work with academic units to develop, implement and maintain a 3 year cyclical review of transfer course equivalencies to ensure course equivalencies are up to date. • Engage in departmental and campus-wide retention initiatives that will strengthen transfer student graduation rates • Maintain transfer student web resources • Attend and present at Transfer Student Orientation • Maintain TES Resource Database • Keep updated on articulation/alliance agreements and transfer credit policies • Remain current on comprehensive articulation agreement policies
• Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of higher education experience in a registrar’s office, academic or student service setting. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Customer service experience and works well under pressure • Critical and analytical thinking • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills • Ability to self-manage and also work collaboratively as a team player • Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and student records protection under FERPA • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Banner experience and foundational knowledge of SLATE Admissions software
