Student loan processing -manage all daily processing of loans. Assist students and monitor work flow of documents, emails, etc. - maintain confidentiality. Financial Aid mass processes - weekly ISIR downloads through awarding. Compliance - stay on top of changes, particularly those relating to student loans and verifications. Business processes, policies and procedures - evaluate for efficiency, implement improvements. Financial Aid Software Applications - Setup/maintain SIS loan pages, send/receive files for the Department of Education, and implement integration of self-service options, send disbursements to Business Office and review batch reports. Student Borrowers - Manage loan eligibility processes including Entrance/Exit counseling, loan denials, and default management requirements. Other Duties as Assigned - reports, outreach, PJ/SAP appeals.
Bachelor Degree with course work in business administration, human services, counseling, social services, information technology, or a related area (or an equivalent combination of training and expertise). Demonstrate the ability to process aid to Veterans (GI Bill). Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Demonstrate ability to plan, develop, and implement student loan activities, procedures and policies. Ability to establish goals and priorities; make decisions based on program and institutional policies. Knowledge of all financial aid programs, including Direct Loan experience. Demonstrate ability to work and make decisions independently, as well as work effectively as a member of the Financial Aid staff, working collaboratively with the FA team and with other college stakeholders to accomplish team and college goals. Familiarity with PC software, particularly EdConnect, COD, ImageNow, and PeopleSoft (SIS). Flexibility and willingness to learn new systems. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; including public speaking.
