The Department of Psychology at Keene State College invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Psychology with a specialty in Developmental Psychology beginning August 2021. The psychology programs at Keene State prepare students for success in a graduate program in psychology or a career in a psychology-related field, including: â¢Counseling â¢Experimental psychology â¢Neuroscience â¢Human resources â¢Teaching â¢Health care â¢and many other diverse fields Students are exposed to the methodologies, problems, bodies of knowledge, and broad range of perspectives found currently in psychology. Students majoring in psychology gain an understanding of the applied fields in psychology, individual differences, the biological basis of behavior, and the social basis of behavior. The successful candidate will have access to shared departmental laboratory space and equipment (including EEG and eye tracking equipment) and will teach Child & Adolescent Psychology, Lifespan Psychology, General Psychology, Adulthood & Aging/Upper-level specialty course, and may also be asked to teach an advanced methods class, and other core courses, as needed. Teaching load is twelve credits, typically three 4-credit courses, per academic semester. Additional responsibilities include participating in departmental activities and campus-wide committees, maintaining an active record of scholarship, and professional development. As part of their regular teaching responsibilities at this public liberal arts college, faculty members may teach courses both in the major and in the Integrative Studies Program. Ph.D. in Psychology (ABD near completion will also be considered, but must be complete by August 1, 2021); and at least one year of college or university level teaching experience.
