The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology provides diagnosis and treatment of stomach, small intestinal, colonic, esophageal, gallbladder, liver and pancreatic conditions. GI faculty and clinical fellows also conduct research and education in these same areas.
The OHSU Digestive Health Center offers patients an interdisciplinary team approach to the prevention, detection, and treatment of digestive disorders, including diagnosis and treatment for patients with stomach, small intestine, colonic, esophageal, gallbladder and pancreatic conditions. They also blend clinical expertise with research advances to achieve the best possible care and outcomes. The team includes patients, their referring physicians, and a wide range of OHSU specialists.
The Advanced Practice Provider will provide outpatient medical management to patients with general gastroenterology needs. Care provided would occur in an outpatient clinical environment and also as part of team/service to include the APP, attending physician, fellow and residents.The clinic conducts patient care Monday through Friday.
Provide excellent patient care and consultative service to address needs of the patient and requesting team
Identify and communicate findings with all referring physicians involved in the care of any given patient and at the direction of the Medical Director of the Digestive Health Center.
Facilitate and coordinate all services and referrals needed for effective management of patient needs, including patient education, diagnostic procedures and subspecialty evaluation. The clinic conducts patient care Monday through Friday.
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
This position reports to the division head, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
ANCC Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specific are of specialization.
Completion of a Master Degree in Nursing.
Current registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners as a licensed Nurse Practitioner.
Current ACLS certification.
Candidates with prior GI experience, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply.
Those without prior GI experience but are enthusiastic and diligent learners will be provided thorough training on GI pathology and management.
