Faculty position to teach on the Spartanburg campus.
Teach in an undergraduate baccalaureate nursing program in both classroom and clinical areas on the Spartanburg campus. Participate and/or lead in scholarly endeavors and actively participate in service activities at the school, university and professional levels. USC Upstate is seeking teacher-scholars who (i) have a commitment to excellence in teaching and working with a diverse student population and (ii) show clear potential for scholarly research and publication. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in student and civic engagement and active learning pedagogies, (e.g. service-learning, mentoring undergraduate research, and the scholarship of teaching, learning and application). Experience with teaching online or hybrid courses is a plus. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs at the Mary Black School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The BSN is offered for pre-licensure students in addition to RNs seeking their BSN in the RN-BSN track. The RN-BSN track is offered online and face-to-face and the MSN is offered with an emphasis on the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). The Mary Black School of Nursing has state-of-the-art simulation centers on both campuses. The Mary Black School of Nursing has an enrollment consisting of approximately 450 pre licensure students, 120 RN-BSN and 22 graduate students, in addition to 300 – 400 students taking prerequisites for the nursing program.
