Faculty Name and Title: Associate Professor Nizar HabashResearch Project Description: Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications are becoming quite common in today's world. However, when it comes to AI and language, some languages (e.g., English) are a lot more supported than others (e.g., Arabic). In the Computational Approaches to Modeling Language (CAMeL) Lab at NYUAD, we work on bridging the gap for Arabic (in its Standard and dialectal forms). We have a number of projects on AI and Language (aka Natural Language Processing, NLP).
