Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Department: Physics and Astronomy
Dr. Randall Hulet's laboratory at in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Rice University is seeking a postdoctoral research associate. This postdoctoral position is with an experimental program to create a supersolid state of matter (FFLO superconducting state) using ultracold atomic fermions in an optical lattice. This position offers an excellent opportunity to conduct research at the forefront of the exciting field of ultracold quantum gases. The ideal candidate will be a key member of an experimental program to use ultracold atomic fermions in optical lattices as a platform to realize strongly correlated many-body states of matter. The current goal is to realize a supersolid (FFLO superconductor) in the crossover region between one and three dimensions using fermionic lithium.
