Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Physics & Astronomy, University of Tennessee - Knoxville. The successful applicant will carry out interdisciplinary research that touches a wide range of topics in quantum materials such as correlated electron systems, unconventional superconductivity, topological states, quantum magnetism, and spintronics. The focus of this research is on atomically engineered complex oxide heterostructures. Research work will be performed at the Joint Institute of Advanced Materials, which houses a comprehensive suite of tools for materials synthesis, macroscopic characterizations, and microscopic analysis. The Priniciple Investigator of the research is Dr. Jian Liu.
