Open Rank faculty position. The Division of Cardiology, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, announces the opening of a fixed term or tenure track faculty appointment (MD) for a Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist who will be Director of the UNC's Ventricular Assist Device Program. The successful candidate will have clinical experience in assessment and management of VAD patients, heart transplant and ECMO. Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is required. A record of successful research (clinical or translational) with obtainment of external funding and experience in cardiac imaging are pluses. Position rank and track (fixed term vs. tenure track) is dependent upon applicant qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the full range of advanced therapies for heart failure.
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will be ABIM-board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and in Cardiovascular Disease.
