The Surveillance Manager will serve as a non-clinical (non-confidential) manager for students who are entering surveillance testing, work with students to navigate University administrative processes, refer students to appropriate University and community resources, and advocate for student needs. The Manager will regularly respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff, and when appropriate, to members of the community. This position plays a vital role in the management of the level of COVID infection on campus helping to provide/maintain an environment in which students, faculty and staff can work and learn knowing the campus is safe. This position reports to the Surveillance Nurse Practitioner.
A Limited Duration Appointment (LDA) is a form of regular employment for a specific project or for a limited period of time. An LDA may be established for up to one year with an option to renew the appointment annually for a maximum of three years.
Duties include: serve as a non-clinical (non-confidential) manager for testing and follow up for students, faculty and staff; coordinate with Contact Tracing, SOS, DOS, Housing, and UHS as needed for those who are required to test and fail their appointments; contact those who need additional follow up; and trouble shoot check in issues for testing with administrative staff.
