UW Medical Center – Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a per diem (0% FTE, variable hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our Eastside Specialty Center, located in Bellevue. Our Eastside Specialty Center is a specialty ambulatory clinic with over 20 practice areas. The Registered Nurse will primarily support our freestanding infusion division and will provide cross-coverage support to other specialty areas as needed.
SCHEDULE: The Registered Nurse will work 8 hours per day, variable days per week. This is a no weekends, no holidays position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for screening patients for infusions of disease modifying treatments and therapeutic treatments. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for placing IVs, initiating, assessing, and observing patients during infusions, and disconnecting IV and monitoring patients post infusion. The Registered Nurse will also be cross-trained to provide patient care in other areas of the clinic, including sports medicine, allergy care, and digestive health. The Registered Nurse will follow evidence-based nursing practices to ensure clinical nursing care is provided in a safe manner.
2 years of current or recent medical-surgical nursing experience
An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
Previous work experience in an outpatient infusion setting
Previous work experience in specialty ambulatory nursing
