Spalding University School of Social Work seeks to hire a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor as a result of unprecedented growth. The successful hire will teach across our BSSW, MSW and DSW programs. Our goal with this hire is to increase the number of faculty in our unit who are dedicated to the innovation and decolonization of social work education. This position features a nine-month/24 credit contract. Requirements for the position include:
MSW/MSSW from a fully accredited program
Two years post MSW/MSSW practice experience
DSW, PhD or terminal degree in a related field. ABD status in combination with prior experience considered.
Experience in teaching both online and face-to-face
Experience in course development and evaluation
The theme that spans all programs is the preparation of change agents to do the work of system dismantling across all levels of social work practice. Within that context, preference will be given to candidates with a practice/research focus in addiction, gerontology, policy analysis, medical/healthcare social work and/or trauma informed practice.
