Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Location: Hyde Park Campus
Conduct experiments: Including protein expression plasmid construction, protein purification and fluorescent labeling, single molecule multi-color TIRF microscopy, micro-patterning and microfluidics, C. elegan strain construction and molecular genetic manipulation, Image J data analysis, etc.
Maintain the TIRF and confocal microscopes, and help supervise undergraduate and graduate students on various research projects.
Provide regular oral reports on progress in our group meeting.
Conduct literature reviews in our group meeting.
Serves as a resource for collecting data and performing analysis. Facilitates and promotes a research project by providing scientific or intellectual information.
Creates first drafts for scientific writing and publications, including protocols and grants
Performs other related work as needed.
Experience with plasmid construction, protein purification and fluorescent labeling, multi-color TIRF microscopy.
Experience with construction of C.elegans strains and multi-color imaging of C. elegans single cell embryos.
Experience writing research grants.
