Job Summary:

Laboratory Technician Senior position to work on a research project investigating the effect of sleep and circadian rhythm disruption on neuropathology in a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease.

Job responsibilities include working with laboratory rodents, conducting behavioral tests, sectioning rodent tissue, conducting procedures such as in situ hybridization, RT-PCR, and immunohistochemistry, and analyzing and graphing data.

Good record keeping and basic computer skills are also required; also collaboration and communication with other personnel.

Skills /Knowledge/Abilities:

MS Windows and Excel.

Preferred Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in biology or neuroscience or a related field plus two or more years of experience with lab work preferred.
