Associate Director, Alumni Engagement and Volunteer Programs

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, this individual will assist in developing and providing strategic direction and execution for alumni engagement efforts by academic school/college, special constituency groups and chapter programs as well as creating and tracking an alumni volunteer program. Will be responsible for implementing a volunteer structure and program to deepen relationships and assist in connecting with our more than 190,000 locally, regionally and globally.
Manage an alumni volunteer program providing graduates ways to stay connected through various opportunities, leveraging their experience and skills
Identify student and alumni engagement program opportunities to enhance mentorship and networking opportunities
Recruit alumni volunteers and involve them in the conceptualization, planning, promotion and execution of events
Partner with key relevant internal partners (e.g. administrators, deans, department chairs, faculty members, coaches) to identify areas of collaboration and information sharing to leverage alumni engagement and student success
Through effective volunteer engagement and cultivation, aid in the development of a pipeline of donor prospects
Maintain a portfolio of 75-100 alumni for strategic outreach and engagement
Responsible for reporting and tracking results from all activities developing a metric system to measure engagement
Record contact reports of meaningful interactions with alumni
Possess stellar communication skills both verbally and in written form
Ability to speak publicly at events and /or make presentations
Availability to work nights and weekends as well as travel
Extremely organized and able to manage multiple priorities and creatively solve problems
Able to be self-motivated and creative
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook/email programs
