The Title IX Coordinator ensures the College's compliance with federal and state law in regards to Civil Rights and non-discrimination under provisions Title IX and VAWA, as well as compliance with VCCS and DHRM related policies and procedures.
Description of Duties and Tasks:
The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for executing the College's compliance efforts with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and related requirements and guidance (e.g. Title IX Dear Colleague Letters, VAWA, FERPA). The Title IX Coordinator actively promotes a campus culture that supports a safe, respectful, inclusive academic, working, and learning environment by ensuring investigations are conducted in a prompt, fair, equitable manner in accordance with all applicable laws and policies, developing and delivering effective training and awareness programs that focus on the mandate to
