A postdoctoral position is available in the department of chemistry at Syracuse University. The research mainly focuses on the optical and electronic properties of low-dimensional nanomaterials (1D quantum rods, 2D quantum plates...) for green energy applications. Experience with colloidal solution-phase synthesis, photo-catalysis, manipulation of air sensitive compounds using glovebox and Schlenk-line, material assembly, characterization of nanomaterials using electron microscopes, X-ray diffraction (XRD), XPS, electrochemical analysis (CV, EIS), and GC are desirable. The position starts in spring 2021. The position is for one-year but renewable based on the candidate's performance and funding.
