Provides assistance in the planning, development, and implementation of the Tidewater Community College dual enrollment program. To that end, the Dual Enrollment Advisor ("Advisor") is responsible for overall coordination and implementation of a highly effective and successful dual enrollment program for special provision students, to include students from private schools and homeschools and those participating in a non-contractual status. Working with the Director of Dual Enrollment, the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, academic deans, and other staff, as well as students, and students' parents/guardians, the Advisor is responsible for developing and implementing a college-wide model for dual enrollment to foster student learning and success.
Demonstrated knowledge of student services for dual enrollment to include admission and placement, enrollment advising.
Experience and skill in providing academic and curriculum advisement
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply VCCS, Family Education Rights Privacy Act (FERPA), college policies and procedures as they relate to the admission and enrollment processes.
Demonstrated skill in using PeopleSoft or similar Student Information System.
Skilled in the use of a variety of software programs to include spreadsheets, databases, word, Internet and e-mail. (Required)
Demonstrated ability to make effective oral and written presentations.
Successful experience in working in a team environment.
