The Work-Study Assistant, under general supervision, will assist the Department of Chemistry with daily office duties. This position will give students the opportunity to learn proper office ethics and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• File and copy chemistry documents to include but not limited to; change of major, request for independent study, grade replacement, change of grade, request for I or IP, etc.
• File all documentation for graduate students in the appropriate binder.
• Maintain copy machine with toner and paper.
• Drop off and retrieve documents.
• Shred documents as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Presently enrolled for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
• Must be in academic good standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA
• No prior experience necessary
• For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least six (6) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• 1 to 2 years of office experience
