The Director of Research will bring expertise at the intersection of contemporary disability issues and research methods (including survey research, case study methods, qualitative studies, and lab-based and field based experimental designs) to bear upon current and future BBI projects.
The Director is expected to build the capacity of other BBI staff to secure, lead, and manage large-scale projects that are externally/grant-funded.
The Director will be involved in the disability research areas of employment, workforce innovation, community participation, corporate culture, workplace accommodations, assistive and rehabilitation technology, Veteran employment, and career pathways for individuals with disabilities; and with the expectation of producing high impact outcomes, garnering high-profile media attention.
S/he will also acquire new grants, contracts and subcontracts as both PI and as Project Director, writing grants and foundation proposals to secure new funding.
