The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Urology, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful appointee will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Urology. The appointee will support the reconstructive, trauma and female urology program which entails treating, evaluating, and providing patient care directly. The successful appointee will maintain a productive clinical portfolio and develop a clinical practice complemented by patient-oriented research. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.
We especially welcome applicants with demonstrated experience in gender reassignment surgery. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
The University of Chicago Medicine has been at the forefront of medical care since 1927. Located in historic Hyde Park, the primary medical campus includes the Center for Care and Discovery, Comer Children's Hospital, Bernard A. Mitchell Hospital for adult inpatient care, and the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM) totalling more than 550 beds in service. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible with the American Board of Urology, and 4) be fellowship trained in reconstructive Urology.
