The Department Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Science at University of California, San Francisco is seeking a Professional Researcher. The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team and will be developing and optimizing neuroimaging approaches for improved monitoring of neurological disorders including: (1) lymphoma (2) dementia and (3) healthy aging. Candidate must have expertise in animal model systems and extensive knowledge of MR imaging approaches, including MR imaging and MR spectroscopy. The candidate should also have expertise in wet lab techniques, including assays and cell culture, and have strong written and oral communication skills. Candidate will be required to disseminate findings in both written and oral formats; previous participation in local and national scientific conferences in the MR imaging community is ideal. Candidate must have a PhD, and three (3) plus years of postdoctoral lab experience.
Appointees in the Professional Researcher series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Professional Researcher are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service.
