About the Job This position is in a laboratory that uses quantitative approaches to understand the mechanisms driving disease transmission dynamics. The technician will apply a large number of concepts and techniques. The individual in this position will perform technical aspects of research studies that include activities involving data collection, data cleaning, statistical modeling, and infectious disease modeling.
Job Responsibilities: Collect disease outbreak data from state health departments and other reliable sources Run statistical models and compile results Additional Duties -Assist members of the laboratory with research studies, and acquisition of data -Perform data entry and maintain data files on research -Assist with lab website development and maintenance -It is expected that many of these activities will ultimately be performed independently after appropriate guidance
Salary Range: $16.16 - $22.26
Qualifications: All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
Required Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a biological science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: -Demonstrated experience with infectious disease research -Prior training and experience in epidemiology
