Teachers College is seeking a Business Manager for the Office of Information Technology. The position will oversee software and hardware purchasing and maintenance renewals and provide ongoing assistance to the senior IT leadership team. The successful candidate will become the subject matter expert in the administrative process of the College and will offer guidance to the TCIT staff for all administrative functions. The position will be involved in proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement, team morale and ongoing collaborative efforts within and outside of IT. Summary of Specific responsibilities will include: Budget reporting and administration Contract review management Managing vendor relationships Monitoring expenses, procurement and accounting Support technology committees Coordinate recruitment of professional IT staff Maintain IT web page content Event planning for meetings and events. Arrange and manage travel for staff and consultants Hires and supervises administrative staff, including union administrator, and student assistants Minimum Qualifications: Proven work experience as a budget manager/analyst. Requires Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in training, education and experience. Minimum four years of prior related experience. Manage budget for IT areas. Technical skills needed include strong spreadsheet (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts), word processing, and presentation programs. Strong organizational skills to work in diverse environment, to plan and manage time, and coordinate the activities of others. Work with HR on all personnel administration Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal with varied and high level user contact. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with strong analytic reporting and presentation. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) specifically with Banner for budget management duties. ITIL background, with current incident management tools. Strong Power point presentation support. Higher Education experience with budget management.
