South Central College is accepting applications for a Nursing Instructor beginning mid-Spring Semester 2021. We are seeking an instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires being part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. Classes are held on 2 campuses, located in North Mankato and Faribault, MN. This position will be based on the North Mankato campus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for classroom and lab instruction, as well as clinical facilitation. He/she will be expected to work as a team member in maintaining a learning environment that meets the educational requirements of the post-secondary student.
Education Requirement: Master's degree with a major in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty.
Occupational Experience Requirement: Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.
Recency Requirement: One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement: Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
