Primary duties will include teaching undergraduate courses in the cybersecurity program. Additional duties might include supporting other related programs in the Department. Faculty are expected to teach effectively, conduct scholarly activities or research, continually prepare and study, contribute to student growth and development, and serve the department, university, and community.
A Master’s in Cybersecurity, Master’s in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a strong emphasis in Cybersecurity. MS in education is acceptable when combined with a BS in cybersecurity or computer science
Excellent communication skills
Minimum of 15 years of teaching experience in cybersecurity, computer networking, computer science
Minimum of 5 years industry experience
Evidence of demonstrated effective teaching and hands on experience
Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
Reputable professional certifications such as Microsoft and Cisco
Familiarity with the Scholarship for Service Cybercorp program
Experience teaching and assessing quality on-line courses
Potential for successful collaborative and / or interdisciplinary work Knowledge base that complements existing expertise in the department, we are particularly interested in offensive and defensive security principles, malware reverse engineering, penetrating testing and ethical hacking principles with IDS/IPS/Firewalls, security of SDN and IoT networks, and cyber-physical systems
