Reporting to the Dean of Business and Industry, the instructor is responsible to apply their expertise to develop and deliver courses/programs so that students learn and reach their academic goals. The instructor actively participates in departmental meetings and activities, in student recruitment for their courses/program, and in support of the general development of students and the college.
Curriculum and teaching materials development.
Assessment activities at the instructor, course, department, and institutional level.
Participation in program, division and college initiatives through committee work and inter-departmental collaboration.
Associate degree in electronics technology.
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in electronics technology.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.
The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Occupational experience in industrial controls applications, preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting.
Occupational experience in mechatronics and/or robotic automation.
Bachelor's degree in a related field with a strong focus on electrical, mechanical, computer, industrial process control, or robotics.
Experience developing and using student-centered, real-world learning strategies.
Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery.
