Reporting to the Director of Admissions in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and serving an admissions office that receives over 18,000 applications for 58 academic programs, this position serves as the first point of communication for potential and active applicants as well as newly admitted students - via email, phone, and in-person.
Provides information regarding application submission, admissions policies, procedures, and program information.
Researches and refers questions as necessary. Tracks and processes GRE, TOEFL, IELTS and other standardized test score reports.
Provides a variety of administrative support duties, including correspondence, maintaining files, updating database records, production of reports, as well as edits and updates admissions materials.
Processes applications, transcripts, and academic records for potential and admitted students with individual tasks changing throughout the academic year and annual admissions cycle.
Provides general support as needed to other areas of admissions, including some phone coverage at the reception desk.
Related job duties as required.
Overtime may be necessary during peak times.

College background with at least two years' work experience in an office environment.
B.A. preferred with three years related office experience. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Highly positive customer service attitude with ability to interact professionally with a variety of constituents. Ability to handle a high volume of complex tasks and projects within deadlines is essential. Ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities; must work independently and as a team player. Must be able to handle confidential materials with discretion. Meticulous attention to detail. Strong computer skills required; knowledge of Harvard or FAS a plus.
