Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer for the Office of Information Technology-Enterprise Application Services (OIT-EAS). The Data Warehouse Developer reports to the Associate Director of the Data Management & Analytics and provides technical assistance to EAS staff, staff in other OIT divisions, and OIT clients in the planning and implementation of complex projects requiring significant BI expertise. The position is primarily responsible for the creation and maintenance of various ETL that loads data into the data warehouse and is designed for optimal performance for our clients to extract and report on the data in a timely manner.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Helps maintain client relationships that utilize our services.
Assist in the day-to-day requests and help assist with our demanding data warehouse development initiatives and requests.
Assists in the analysis of vendor supplied software and determines the optimum configuration for interfaces between hardware, database management systems and application systems.
Ensures control over modifications or enhancements to systems software they support to ensure minimum impact on production systems under development.
Ability to assist in troubleshooting issues for determining root-cause analysis and following controls and procedures to ensure improvements are implemented, including following change-management procedures.
Recommends the establishment of and enforces existing standards relating to use of system software.
Responsible for the evaluation of systems and making recommendations for improvements to management.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer/Data Science, Information Systems or related technology field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in a data warehouse environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong SQL, PLSQL, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Certifications in Data Analytics or related are also preferred.
Experience in a variety of database technologies is preferred, including Oracle RDBMS, MS-SQLServer.
Oracle PLSQL, Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator and legacy Oracle Data Warehouse Builder.
