Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Intelligence Systems Support/Trainer for the division of Enterprise Application Services(EAS). This position report to the Business Intelligence Sr. Manager with the Office of Information Technology(OIT). This position is is responsible for designing and developing the learning and communication materials in a variety of media and delivery methods, including both instructor-led and e-learning to support Business Intelligence initiatives.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Works with with BI team and university units to identify specific BI training, communication, knowledge base needs and develop solutions to help ensure the adoption and successfully usage of BI solutions.
Creates documentation, FAQ’s, knowledge base, videos, web site, and monitors collaboration forums to facilitate learning and adoption.
Participates in BI user groups, both internally and externally.
Provides train-the-trainer assistance.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in designing, developing, & delivering instructional materials in various forms (e.g. documentation, online, videos, web sites, etc.).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience working in an IT environment, providing training support.
Advanced computer (most recent versions of all MS Office products) & Internet skills as well as experience w/ online collaboration, project management & Web tools
Strong process & project management skills
Demonstrated ability to manage to priorities, organize & plan work to satisfy established timeframes
Experience interviewing developers, testers, and users to produce accurate and clear documentation
Ability to quickly understand technical subject matter
Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking and presentation skills
Demonstrate professional and technical writing skills
Superb interpersonal skills, including effective listening, conflict management and providing feedback
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to describe technical concepts and present them to non-technical and more technical persons in a clear, professional and concise manner in both oral and written forms.
Ability to assimilate and adapt materials and training methodologies to a diverse learning audience.
Preferred experience with BI reporting tools, including training users on them.
Preferred experience with developing training related web based materials.
