The Department of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an interventional radiologist.
The UAB Department of Radiology consists of 109 faculty members, including 17 physicists and PhD researchers. The division of interventional radiology has eight full time faculty, four physician assistants. The group provides services and oversight at the University Hospital and Children's of Alabama, as well as adult and pediatric outpatient clinics. There are diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology /diagnostic radiology training pathways.
The ideal candidate will actively participate in teaching, research, and service as well as in collaborating with other departments. Qualified applicants will hold an American Board of Radiology Certificate of Advanced Qualification in Interventional Radiology CAQ or have CAQ eligibility. An established record of scholarly work is valued. There is opportunity for departmental leadership for those interested and with proven leadership skills. Academic rank and tenure status will depend on qualifications and experience.
