Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (CUVCPS) has commenced a search for a nationally recognized physician/scientist to serve as the next Chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery. The Chair ensures that the neurological surgery department's research and educational missions is fully integrate with the ever-expanding clinical mission and enterprise which is based within the New York-Presbyterian Health Care Delivery System (NYPH). This position represents one of the most important leadership opportunities in academic neurological surgery and requires a consummate physician/scientist, leader/executive with the vision and experience to ensure that neurological surgery healthcare services, research, and education are world renowned. The Chair of Neurological Surgery reports to the Executive Vice President and Dean of the Faculties of Health Sciences and Medicine, and Chief Executive of Columbia University Medical Center.
