Description of Work:
Assist reproductive physiology and nutrition scientists with all aspects of their research and extension programs. This includes collection, analysis and summary of research data and preparation of multimedia presentations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in animal science or related field plus two years of livestock, farm, ranch or related experience. Work experience must demonstrate computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, data analysis, and presentation software; web design and editing; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and practices is essential.
Knowledge of research methods used in ruminant nutrition and grazing experiments, sampling techniques for large animals, in vitro and in vivo digestion techniques, and vegetation sampling techniques preferred. Proficiency programming SAS statistical software and using NRC software are desirable. Experience with analytical chemistry methodology; use, maintenance, and minor repair of complex laboratory equipment; use of farm equipment; ultrasound; artificial insemination; and handling, feeding, and caring for research animals are helpful.
Posted Salary: $40,000 minimum
