Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery – General Surgeon University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care. Candidates must be either board eligible or board certified in General Surgery. Completion of a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery is preferred. Qualified applicants should have experience in advanced laparoscopic procedures and robotic surgery. Applicants with experience in bariatric surgery and/or surgical endoscopy, and those who are also interested in Health Service Research are encouraged to apply. Candidates will be expected to take emergency general surgery call. The position will be primarily located at UCSF and will have some responsibilities at other UCSF Affiliate Hospitals.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents, medical students, and fellows, and will be expected to be active participants in the department’s residency training and educational programs.
