Full time; Three (3) evenings per week (12 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) and
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m.)
The Academic Technology Specialist supports effective and maximum use of the school's learning management system (Canvas) and other school-wide software packages (Zoom and Panopto), comfortability working with multimedia equipment's, and hardware by: serving as a point of contact for inquiries and requests for assistance; responding to, researching, trouble-shooting and resolving user issues (requests) via phone, email, in person or remotely. Ability to work independently (weekends) and well with other departments.
Associates degree (Bachelor's degree preferred)
1-3 years of experience in IT technical support (i.e. supporting software applications, help desk experience, or implementing software solutions)
Experience with Audio, Video, and Multimedia equipment
Strong analytical, problem solving, and technical aptitude skills; ability to quickly troubleshoot user issues
Ability to research and identify the root cause of reported problems
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and refocus based on changing priorities
Strong oral and written communication skills; and excellent customer service skills.
Work experience in higher education and with Canvas software preferred.
