The Proteomics Shared Resource at Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York is seeking a full time Staff Associate, who will be involved in discovery and targeted proteomic analysis to support the multidisciplinary investigators at CUIMC.
The successful candidate will have a background in one or more of the areas of chemistry or bio-chemistry, and proteomics. You must be detailed oriented, organized, have ability to work independently and curious to learn new techniques.
Responsibilities for the position include: 1) Preparation of samples from cells, tissues and bio-fluids for proteomics workflow including protein isolation, digestion, TMT tagging and peptide clean-up. 2) Operation and maintenance of multiple mass spectrometers as well as troubleshooting of state-of-the art Orbitrap Fusion and Q-Exactive HF mass spectrometers and Dionex nanoLC systems.
