Harborview Medical Center (HMC) seeks a talented professional to join the Hospital Medicine/General Surgery inpatient hospitalist service as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (ARNP, Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant).
The APP will be responsible for providing efficient, safe and high quality care to our vulnerable poly-trauma patients. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily rounds and perioperative care, progress notes, discharge/interim summaries, preoperative assessments where appropriate, and collaborating with hospital medicine colleagues on complex patients. Under general administrative supervision of the Director of Advanced Practice Providers, the APP provides clinical expertise to patients and their families, is a resource person for health care providers, and participates in research and teaching programs. Work is performed in the inpatient units with decision-making responsibility under the guidance of attending physicians in Hospital Medicine and General Surgery and/or the Associate Medical Director.
