The University of Chicago, Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hospital Medicine is seeking three pediatric nocturnists at 100% effort to join our expanding Pediatric Hospital Medicine group at Comer Children's Hospital. The selected appointee will participate in quality improvement efforts and provide clinical supervision of residents and trainees on clinical rotation through the Section of Hospital Medicine. In this role, the nocturnists will have clinical opportunities that include pediatric medicine, newborn care, ED consultation and community hospital coverage. We welcome applicants dedicated to working as a part of a dynamic and exceptional team of pediatric hospitalists. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications. The position does not require teaching or scholarly activity.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in General Pediatrics, and 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
